In September 2011 I completed this -- the "Quilt Barn" at Crow Farm in Kent County on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. The barn is 60ft long and 20 ft tall. Each quilt star is 7ft tall and 14ft wide. I started painting the day after Hurricane Irene went through, and worked on this at the same time I was working on the old smokehouse painting at Infinity Recycling -- completing them both in one week.

The poetry here is by John Milton from Paradise Lost (1667). It is a passage from Book IV, Eve speaking to Adam in Eden before the Fall. She beautifully, succinctly describes one perfect day from morn to night:
Sweet is the breath of morn, her rising sweet,
With charm of earliest birds; pleasant the sun
When first on this delightful land he spreads
His orient beams, on herb, tree, fruit, and flower,
Glistering with dew; fragrant the fertile earth
After soft showers; and sweet the coming on
Of grateful evening mild, then silent night
With this her solemn bird and this fair moon.
